Since its inception in 2000, ESOFT has grown to be the largest private sector higher education network in Sri Lanka with an extensive island-wide network of 40 branches, creating opportunities for over 30,000 students annually. Originally offering Computing programs, today it is a diversified education provider in the fields of ICT & Computing, Business Management, Hospitality Management, Engineering, Personal & Professional Development, Language Training, and Corporate Training.

Being the number one course provider in Sri Lanka for the BIT External Degree programme awarded by University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC), ESOFT has consistently produced some of the best BIT graduates in the country. Accredited by the British Computer Society (BCS: The Chartered Institute for IT), ESOFT is recognized as the world’s largest training provider of BCS Higher Education Qualifications (HEQ) and to date has produced over 50 outstanding World and Sri Lankan prize-winners to. We are also a Pearson Platinum Partner, gaining recognition for student numbers and development of portfolio.

As the strategic partner of London Metropolitan University (UK), ESOFT offers local students the opportunity to pursue UK undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications right here in Sri Lanka. We also offer cutting-edge MSc programmes via our affiliation with Kingston University (UK), which is ranked among the top 500 Universities in the World.
Our faculty is encouraged to engage in research. ESOFT Metro Campus is currently involved in research ranging from Environmental Sustainability to Robotics and from International Relations to Social Sciences. ESOFT Metro Campus is now a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities. This opens new opportunities for graduates of ESOFT and we look forward to working with the ACU for the betterment of higher education in Sri Lanka.
