Horizon Campus

Horizon Campus, a non- state university established in 2009 is recognized by University Grants Commission, Ministry of Education and Association of Commonwealth Universities. It is a pioneering higher education provider, with degree awarding status to provide its own degrees and having strong affiliations and longstanding partnerships with top foreign universities such as the University of London (UK), Birmingham City University (UK), Arkansas State University (US), Nilai University (Malaysia), Asia e University (Malaysia) and La Trobe University (Australia). The degrees provided extend from Law, Biotechnology, Education, IT, Management, Quantity Surveying, Nursing, Engineering to Hospitality Management.

With a student population exceeding 3500, the Horizon Campus is constantly working on industry partnerships to providing industry exposure to students through internships, graduate employment, guest lectures and workshops and career mentoring and to bridge the gap between graduate skills and industry expectations with companies like HCL Technologies, Virtusa, OREL, DARAZ, Ninewells Hospital, SLIC, IFS and Careers360.

Currently there are 46 permanent academic staff members serving all faculties along with a panel of qualified and experienced visiting lecturers. There are twelve permanent staff members qualified with their PhDs and another 24 members with their Masters in their respective fields of specialization. Academic staff of Horizon Campus is engaged in a wide array of academic research.

With their vision of being a leading educational provider in the South Asian region, Horizon Campus will focus on attracting regional students to study in Sri Lanka, including those from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, and the Maldives, and ex-pat students living around the world
