International Institute of Health Sciences

International Institute of Health Sciences (IIHS) is the pioneer in health education in Sri Lanka since 2002 and has established itself as a Regional Hub for education over the years. The institute currently conducts programs from Certificate Level to PhD level in the areas of Nursing, Physiotherapy, Bio-medical Sciences, Health Administration and Teaching.

IIHS currently serves as an International University Learning Center catering to both local and regional students and works with affiliations from over 20 global Universities in Australia, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Finland and the United States of America.

The key University affiliations include Deakin University, Open University Malaysia, University of Aberdeen, Coventry University, Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and Edith Cowan University.

Locally, IIHS partners with premium industry partners in the public and private sector including Ministry of Primary Health Care, Sri Lanka Skills Development Fund Ltd, Asiri Hospitals, Sri Lanka Red Cross. The primary focus of IIHS is to provide a course of training with the highest standards that will qualify students to pursue satisfying careers and to embark on lucrative employment opportunities in healthcare and teaching.

As an institute that prides itself on being the leader in evidence-based practice, research, reflective practice, community engagement, and student outcomes, IIHS provides the finest learning experience to its students, across their range of study programmes.

With a student population of over 2000 and highly experienced and qualified local faculty and international honorary faculty, IIHS is poised to provide an enriching learning experience to its students.
