The Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT), founded in 1999, is a University Grants Commission (UGC) recognized Institute which stands today as a symbol of excellence in private tertiary education. SLIIT, a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) and the International Association of Universities (IAU), was also the first Sri Lankan Institute to be accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology, UK. The Institute produces highly employable graduates at all levels in IT and other industries and over 30,000 professionals have graduated, with a 96% employment rate.
We offer a wide range of degree options to develop self-sufficient, analytically strong individuals with critical thinking skills to become performing leaders in their respective fields. Our panel of lecturers includes in-house and visiting lecturers with excellent academic standings and international research experience at renowned universities, well-equipped to guide the students. Institute further provides for an active research culture. The research grant scheme, integrating research methodology into curricula, and establishing a research center are all meant to promote research. Together with the state-of-the-art facilities, SLIIT’s goal is to offer our students a unique learning experience that enables them to succeed in their life journey.
